James and I met at university as engineering students and basketball teammates! (We led the Universities’ division 1 BUCS team as co-captains). We both had a huge passion for the space industry which led us to work on a project called “HiveSpace” together. An ed-tech platform for space-skills.
Thomas spent much of his time at university hosting a skills development program for undergraduate students called “UK University CanSat”, where as director, he led over a dozen UK-based universities and 60+ students in developing key engineering skills.
Meanwhile, James enjoyed participating in hackathons and building coding projects to develop his skills and satisfy his intellectual curiosity as a software engineer and mathematician. Not to mention, his 10 years of working as a free-lance web developer.
In 2023, Thomas was able to win grant funding through the university to work on the start-up full time. Several months later, we pivotted, and Evidently Me was born!
